ABOUT Me
My name is Caspar Bichlmeir, I am 21 years old, originally from Munich, and currently studying Industrial Design at the OTH Regensburg. For me, design meansvconsciously shaping and improving people’s living. I am interested in the entire process — from the initial conceptual idea to visual development and final material realization. As a designer, I see a strong responsibility in shaping both the environment and the everyday user experience through the products I create. As an extroverted person, I highly value communication. To me, design means teamwork.
Skills
I work confidently with Adobe Creative Cloud programs, particularly Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro. In the field of 3D modeling, I have solid experience with Rhino 3D and Blender. I have a solid understanding of theoretical design approaches and I am familiar with the history of the design industry. Beyond digital tools, hands-on craftsmanship is very important to me. I have experience working with wood, metal, and plastics. I also have practical experience in prototyping, including additive manufacturing processes.
Experience
I am a tutor in the Startup Lab at my university. In the startup lab, students can for instance sew, laser cut, 3D print, work with wood and metal, cast, or do pottery. There, I am responsible to support students in their projects, and work within an interdisciplinary environ-ment. In addition, I completed a six-month internship at a media production company that collaborates for example with Red Bull. Through my past jobs in social media, gastronomy and as a skiing instructor I learned to take responsibility, stay organized, and adapt to different work environments.
Motivation
During my internship, with you, I strive to deepen my insights into the design industry. I am particularly interested in real production and manufacturing processes. Having grown up in Germany, I understand sustainability not as a passing trend, but as a fundamental design responsibility. I want to avoid contributing to the creation of short-lived solutions that unnecessarily saturate the market. My goal is to develop products that serve their clear purpose and convince through functionality, and provide long-term value.
